Nearsightedness: For a nearsighted person, close objects are clear, but distant objects are blurred and difficult to distinguish.

Farsightedness: Technically known as hyperopia, people who are farsighted have blurred vision at all distances unless they make a constant effort to focus.

Astigmatism: For people with astigmatism, all objects both near and far are distorted.

Presbyopia: Presbyopia is a natural occurrence in which the eye can no longer tightly focus up close. It commonly develops in people around age 40.
